12Eudemos in der Vergangenheit angekündigt
13hatte, dem Volk für den Krieg,
14falls nötig, 4000 Drachmen
15zu spenden, und jetzt gespendet hat
16für den Bau des Panathenäischen
17Stadions und der Tribüne
18tausend (Ochsen)Gespanne und dies
19alles geschickt hat (rechtzeitig) vor den Panathenäen,
20wie er es versprochen hatte, wolle beschließen
21das Volk: dass man belobige Eudemos
22S.d. Philourgos aus Plataiai und ihn
23bekränze mit einem Oliven-Kranz
24wegen seines Wohlwollens gegenüber dem
25Volk der Athener; und dass er
26sei unter den Wohltätern des
27Volkes der Athener, er selbst und
28die Nachkommen, und dass ihm sei
29das Recht zum Erwerb von Grund und Haus, und
30er Militärdienst leiste im
31Heer und die Extra-Steuern
32zahle zusammen mit den Athenern;
33dass diesen Beschluss aufzeichne
34der Sekretär des Rates und
35aufstelle auf der Akropolis; dass für die
36Aufzeichnung auf der Stele der Schatzmeister
37des Volkes 30 Drachmen
38gebe aus dem
39Dekret-Fonds des

3in the ninth prytany, of Leontis,
4for which Antidoros son of Antinous
5of Paiania was secretary.
6On the eleventh of Thargelion, the
7nineteenth of the prytany.
8Of the presiding committee Antiphanes
9of Euonymon was putting to the vote. The People
10decided. Lykourgos son of Lykophron
11of Boutadai proposed: since
12Eudemos both announced previously
13to the People that he would donate for
14the war, should it be needed, [4,00]0
15drachmas, and now has donated
16for construction of the Panathenaic stadium
17and the seating
18a thousand yoke of oxen[1] and has sent
19all of this before the Panathenaia,
20as he promised, the People
21shall decide: to praise Eudemos
22son of Philourgos of Plataia and crown
23him with a foliage crown
24for his good will towards the
25Athenian People; and he shall be
26among the benefactors of the
27Athenian People, himself and
28his descendants, and he shall have
29right of ownership of land and a house, and
30he shall perform military
31service and pay
32capital taxes with the Athenians;
33and the secretary of the Council
34shall inscribe this decree and
35stand it on the acropolis; and for
36inscribing the stele the treasurer
37of the People shall give 20 or 30
38drachmas from the People’s
39fund for expenditure on
40decrees.
